Half Naked Part 03 Adding Textures
At this stage this portrait is almost done, I just want to experiment and add more textures to this painting. we already tackle the problem of shadows, already acknowledge in the previous stage, from drawing and tone to creating realistic portrait. Below is the final painting compare to the other screen shot in lesson part 2.

In previous tutorials I discuss about concept and basic detailing, now we will focus on adding texture to our subject and background.
This is the previous tutorials in case you miss it.
Part 01 – Concept and Detailing
Part 02 – Basic Detailing

I just add some details in lips, eyes and nose area to fix the shadow problems.
At this stage I need to lighten the whole images so I apply Levels (Hit Control+L in windows or Command+L in mac) and apply a texture brush to the skin, I use NagelSeries30.abr that I downloaded before, Its a skin series of brushes for photoshop I just apply it in low opacity so no problem in blending color of my subject skin sometimes I experiment with blending modes but here I use normal in low opacity settings.
In this stage the texture are great but I want to add a rosy cheek effect so I add a reddish color using the same texture brush in much lower opacity.
Time to fix the bed sheet I add new layer and set white as foreground color and paint the bed sheet following my shade I made before. I just continue using the previous air brush setting and I add some texture later.
In this stage I add texture to the bed sheet I just play with small brush 2px and 1 px and draw lines I just follow the shades that I created.
I lower the layer opacity and erase some excess lines that blocking the shadows.
I add and fix some dark shade. I think its done! I just need to add my signature. Thank you and god bless!
